Challenge
Referrals between practices, clinics and hospitals still run on fax, phone and illegible forms. It is slow, error-prone — and sensitive patient data deserves better care.
Approach
We built Meditransfer as a standalone SaaS platform: structured, specialty-specific forms, a central dashboard for incoming referrals and end-to-end status tracking — with Swiss data residency from the ground up.
Solution
20 medical specialties with ready-made form templates — from general internal medicine to endocrinology — plus a drag-and-drop editor for custom forms. Referring physicians reach the practice through a branded form page; confirmations and notifications are sent automatically.
Custom status workflows, automatic assignment and PDF export cover day-to-day practice needs. All patient data is encrypted and stored exclusively in Switzerland (nDSG, VDSG, Art. 321 StGB) — patient names never appear in email notifications.
Outcome
From first concept through design and development to day-to-day operations: Meditransfer was built entirely at Pom Pom — hosted on Swiss infrastructure, with nDSG-grade data protection as a principle rather than an afterthought.
Today Meditransfer runs as Pom Pom's own standalone SaaS product, used by single practices, group practices and clinics — and keeps evolving. Proof that we don't just build products, we run them.
