Challenge

Blumerei Kalkbreite aimed to offer customers the option to purchase one-off flower bouquets or subscribe to flower deliveries. The highlight was the flower subscription system, which needed to automate customer payments and efficiently manage subscriptions for a hassle-free experience. The website design had to reflect the natural beauty and simplicity of Blumerei Kalkbreite's offerings, while also prioritizing site speed and SEO for a responsive and easily discoverable online presence.

Approach

We built a tailored subscription system that handles payments automatically and manages subscriptions reliably. Customers control their subscription from their own account — delivery rhythm, duration, pausing or cancelling, no phone call needed.

Every day, the system generates detailed delivery lists for the shop and the bike couriers, so each order arrives exactly where it should.

The design reflects the Blumerei's natural beauty and simplicity, with site speed and SEO a priority from day one.

Solution

At its heart is the flower subscription: size, delivery rhythm and duration are freely configurable, a subscription can be given as a gift — and paused or cancelled at any time. Recurring payments run automatically through a custom Stripe integration — including TWINT and the payment methods Swiss customers actually use.

Around it sits a webshop that feels like the Blumerei itself: colourful, direct, uncomplicated. Bouquets and dried arrangements can be ordered for delivery or pickup in a few steps — with an optional handwritten greeting card.

A postcode check keeps orders within the delivery area, with delivery costs already included in the price for each postcode. Orders placed before 10 a.m. go out the same day by bike courier.

Outcome

Today, customers have fresh flowers delivered to their door on a regular schedule or order bouquets in a few clicks — paying conveniently by TWINT or card. The automated subscription system takes the admin off the small team's hands: delivery lists, recurring payments and subscription management run on their own.

The platform is fast, easy to find and true to the brand: a digital presence arranged with the same care as the bouquets themselves.
