Norkind

Norkind required the integration of their Point of Sale (POS) system with the website to achieve real-time inventory synchronization and operational efficiency. Additionally, the website needed to reflect Norkind's sleek and refined style, providing an immersive and visually appealing experience for customers. Key priorities included optimizing site speed and search engine optimization (SEO) for enhanced visibility and accessibility to design enthusiasts interested in minimalist furniture and décor.

We started with the POS integration: one shared inventory for the stores and the online shop, synchronized in real time — the foundation for efficient operations and reliable availability.

On the design side, we translated Norkind's elegant, pared-back signature into a calm interface that gives the products room. Speed and SEO were treated as design goals rather than afterthoughts: short load times and strong discoverability for a design-savvy audience.

For Norkind, we built an online shop on Adobe Commerce that extends the curated world of their three Zürich stores into digital — from furniture and lighting to kitchen and living, thoughtfully assembled gift categories, and a brand directory.

At its heart is the point-of-sale integration: inventory stays in sync between the tills and the shop in real time, in-store pickup included. The restrained design puts the products front and centre, reflecting Norkind's minimalist aesthetic.

A separate B2B storefront serves interior architects and designers with trade conditions.

The result is a shop that feels like the stores themselves: calm, precise, and focused on the product. With the POS integration, inventory is accurate online and offline — whether customers order for in-store pickup or drop by in Zürich, the numbers match.
